Hi everyone! You wouldn't believe what call I got today. Offers have been trickling in slowly, political aide opportunities, business development opportunities with Fortune 50 companies, etc., but none like this one. I'll share about it in another entry.
My last checkup on my mild concussion is this upcoming Tuesday. Everything feels fine now. Still, no matter where I go, people always make jest of what was a serious injury. I don't understand how people's perceptions are so easily molded by the events shown in an hour of television. Do you know how many scenes were cut out of the episode and which ones were picked by Burnett and his producers to cast me as the controversy-stirring black woman?
This brings me to another point that people have traditionally sided with the girls on. Did they really refer to me using the "n-word"? You bet they did. And I know they weren't talking about Kwame because everyone displayed so much affection for him. Walls in the suite aren't very thick. And you know what's worse? It was on more than 3 occasions too, late at night. I was accustomed to sleeping earlier than the other girls so I heard most of the chatter. As much as I appreciate Ereka's insights as a team-member throughout the weeks, what she perceives of how I harness my energy amounts to racism in its purest form. What do you think?
It's my first time negotiating a book deal. Stay tuned for more updates! In the meanwhile, let me know what you think about everything. Most of the friends I know have been too lazy to log on so spread the word for me.
At this point, I was thinking, "How come no one understands me?"
